Default jan 15 scratch

Went down in the swamps this morning. Had a good breeze, and plenty of big ducks moving early. Just none of them wanted to move on us. lol We had plenty of motion with my buddies 6 swimming wonderducks in the spread. After about the first 30 minutes of flying it was all over. Nothing doing. So,my son and I was off to check our jug lines and few crawfish traps we had set out yesterday afternoon. We had 0 crawfish(2 breamseses) which we applied to our lines and 2 catfish. I think the fishing will be a little better next week with the warming trend. That catfish felt like ice when I unhooked it. The water is dropping pretty fast right now. should be about the right level in a couple of weeks, as soon as the duck season is over. pshshshh. Still a great time in the woods watching my son check those lines with eager anticipation. Cant wait till next time.
