Thanks fellas, The first red in the fog almost Pulled Tanya out the boat. She set the hook expecting a speck and that red headed out!
It was a great trip made better by having Mom in the boat and catching a majority of the fish. We even had another red straighten a hook. She is still stoked that she caught such big fish. A great memory. |

Nice catch! My dad and I went Friday but only caught 2 specks. Seems like the story of my life is "you should have been here yesterday" lol

I hit weeks bay Friday and it was tough. Saturday the LDWF Creel guy was out. He said 2 boats had their limit but most boats brought in 8-10 specs. That's when I knew I made the right choice but it was not without peril. It took an 8 mile run in thick fog while the wife was poo-pooin. It was nerve racking to say the least. I would not recommend that type of run for anyone not 100% confident in their equipment and navigational skills. Respect to the old timers. |

Jim & I fished The Cove, The Hammock & Shark Bayou on Monday, in 10 to 15 MPH NNW winds. Kept (1) nice red & (3) nice trout. Tide +1.5 to -1.0, Sal. 6.0. Due to the high winds, the fishing area was limited.
