Bounce Flatties on the run

BIG WEEK FOR THE BIG THREE ON LAKE CALCASIEU

Most any day of the past week anyone that want to catch all of the big three (trout – redfish –flounder) could head for the lake with some live shrimp and have a great day on the water. There were lots of trout on (on the smaller size) under bit set of diving seagulls. The trick was to get the bait below the needle gars to get to the trout. The redfish were on the banks and points for the taking both on shrimp and plastics. Big numbers of flounder are still up and down the ship channel for the taking. Captain Travis and his crew were back in early yesterday morning with a limit of 40 of the flatties. The later we get into October and November they will continue to get bigger until a hard freeze.
