Default Big Lake 15 Oct 2011

Beautiful day on the water yesterday. Took a buddy of mine from work as a return favor from a sailfish trip out of Freeport back in August. It was his first trip to Big Lake and he had a great time.

Started early near Old Camp and picked up a few specks under birds near the bank, worked the bank for a few more, then ran to the Washout and picked up two limits of reds including two bulls near the end of the falling tide. Slow working a Black Devil Eye was the trick for specks and with a popping cork for reds. Even picked up one with a Bomber topwater Pop'n Shrimp. You can see the red inhaled it. Lot of fun on 12#mono.
