Default first weekend of snapper season

and boy was it a busy one,

took 2 groups out on friday, both limits were caught in 45 mins 20 miles offshore in 60 foot of water.

nothing under 10 pounds

had a charter on saturday, caught another limit of hammers on the reef about 60 miles out trying to catch grouper but there were too many 15 pound snapper.
caught about 25 mangroves as well before having to be back at the dock
biggest went 20 lbs

had snapper palooza on sunday, which we started, w loaded three boats with 12 people each and wore out the big snapper and 1 cobia

as soon as i got back on sunday, we reloaded the boat for an overnighter and headed south to atlantis.
fished marco polo first and picked up 6 yft between 7 and midnight, putted over to atlantis and got there at 4 am and immediately hooked up on nice yft and caught 4 there.

it was a great weekend and i am recovering before going back to work tomorrow

and also cut the tip of my pinky to the bone with 80 pound braid,

while throwing a popper out the line made a loop on my finger and cinched down. enough force to break the popper off and me to see bone, we wrapped it up and kept catching fish. dr said i should have got about 6 stitches but it was too late. lol

Yea, what he said...............I was in Orange Beach and counted 400 boats that went out of Perdido pass between 6 AM to 9 AM.
there was not a cleaning table around that was not red that afternoon.
