Good fishing over there, hard not to catch fish. This time of the year you can catch them good by the docks and barges on the "people side" of the bayou. On the other side look for grass around cypress, senkos and ribbit frogs. I fished that area hard back in the day, been years since I have fished it. If the bass are slow, you can wear out the goggle eyes with 6" curl tail worms.

Not a bad day! I may go check it out soon with the rest of the basin skrewed up. Did you try throwing a crankbait by the docks?

used to always fish the cypress groves on the opposite side of the people. Used to tear up some bass in them grass beds. THe grass bed disappeared about 8 yrs ago, fishing went down, I quit going. Been wanting to try it again though.

We caught most of our fish on the "Non-people" side.....they seemed to be holding to certain cypruss but I never could figure it out. Caught 3 and broke off two on one small tree. As for the people side, we did throw cranks and traps with little success caught goo and barfish with one small bass. Thats when i went to the 1/4 oz humdinger (white) and started catching real good. Shortly after that is when I lost the 4lb at the boat......my buddy had enver taken the net out and the front deck of his boat was too small for me to lay down and scoop her with my hands like i can out of my boat...We did have a great time.

Armand, No this was not the same pic....however that was one of the coolest things that I have ever encountered on the water!!!
