On a side note, since i already had the boat in the water, trolled around the LNG and picked up 4 flounder and 2 reds on gulp swimming mullet. Water looked horrible and the bites were few and far between. |

Try Precision Propellers. Hwy14 just east of the old KK's corner.

I think the new bushing should just push in with your hand. But I could be wrong

You are not pushing it in by hand. Most prop shops have to put it in the freezer then use a press to press it in.

If you're talking about where I think you're talking about, then X2 on that one. Thought it had a different name though. I've had work done on a few different propellers there, doesn't take long at all.

I have gotten them in the past by freezing the bushing for an hour, and warming the hub with a heat source, then get a block of wood and a rubber mallet. Pretty easy to do - it will go in.
Now, what is the issue with the motor not going into reverse???? The bushing of your prop has nothing to do with the reverse. Did you inspect the linkage? Just asking so you don't go back out and still have an issue. |

IF it goes forward and spins the prop it should go backwards and spin the prop. Like FFF said you may have a linkage issue, something could have come loose when hit whatever you hit.

Sounds like something in motor broke to me.

if its a prop issue then I would mail it to Costal Prop in Bridge City, TX and have it repaired and he will ship it back

I spun prop will not stop the motor from going in reverse. Also normally with a spun prop you can idle and it will push boat.

Thanks for the advice. I don't think i am going to attempt this fix on my own, considering it sounds like i have something else going on besides a spun prop. Gonna try the shop mentioned above.
