Big Lake: 11/19... quick trip
What topwater bait is your favorite for that lake? I was throwing that bomber topwater bait in bone color and couldn't get them to touch it when they were nailing shrimp on all sides of it. If you don't mind what color and lure do ya'll use. Thanks, sorry my camera is broken. Won't have another until Christmas probably. |

Big Lake 11/18
Made a solo trip to Turners yesterday evening for a couple hours. Caught a limit with a nice 4.5 pounder included.

Not sure what it will be like next week. We have been fishing a couple days after each of these last few fronts that have come in and have been pretty succesful. Water hasn't been great, but not terrible if that helps, but the water clarity really hasn't affected the fishing. There is plenty of shrimp in the lake and birds are working like crazy. Turners would probably be your best bet if going in a kayak. We may go back Sunday morning. I'll let you know how we did.

we ran around exploring the lake and we found the prettiest water in Turners.. the bigger fish were caught right where you go left into turners bay area from the ship channel.. Birds and fish were everywhere. Just fish the current lines and you shouldn't have a problem. Keep your eyes and ears open and you could see the fish hitting |

its definitely not hard to fish man... Get there early find the birds. Stop the boat REALLY far away from them, much farther than what we have to stop at V. Bay. let your boat drift into them, they'll usually leave but stick around and you'll still catch fish. Find current lines in the middle of nowhere fish them(they like that for some reason) lol Its a lot different than V. Bay, but theres A LOT of fish in that lake. All we really did was ride around look for attractive places such as birds flying or sitting, bait popping, or just people within the area. We'd pick up a few fish at every spot pretty much. But the current lines seem to be the best pick especially if you see them going over some reefs or at least by some pvc poles lol
