Default Cast Net Size

I throw a dinky little 4 foot EZ cast net. I've thrown it for a couple years and it's time for a new net. I'm not great at throwing it yet, but would like to upsize a bit. If I can at least competently handle a four footer, should a five be relatively similar? Is there a certain brand I should go for?

Move up to a 6'. Unless your needing large amounts of bait, that size should cover all your needs. Shouldn't be any harder to throw than a 5 footer

Buy a 7' and watch youtube and practice till you get it right. It's literally all in how you throw it. I have 5,7,9 footers and the 7 is by far my favorite. less castsing to get the same amount of bait.

6 or 7 with some practice and learning it you'll do fine. Gotta hold your tongue right though ;-)

Bought a six foot, and the early results are good. I was practicing in my backyard and it honestly seems a bit easier than the tiny net.
