Default Wine Country

Been working a turnaround 7-12's or more since Christmas. In my slow time out here, I've been planning a trip to San Francisco, Monterrey, Sonoma and, Napa. Any of ya'll been out there before? And if so, what good or bad experiences did ya'll have? I've got pre-approval for a day of fishing too, so if ya'll have suggestions for charters or guides please post them up too. We are gonna be out there from 4-11 to 4-15.

I already have a convertible mustang reserved. I like the idea of yountville, I'll have to check that out. The city of Napa seems like a tourist trap.

Been to the ones around the Paso Robales area. It was fun but I think that might be far from SF

Went there for 7 days, Napa and Sonoma.

With 35 of us.

Sis in law had us at a winery by 10am Every day, and then hopped all day, till evening.

I liked the Castle most of all.

It was fun to do once.

A friend of mine used to talk about how great the fishery was around catalina island. Used to talk about all the ling cod and such that they would catch. May be a little further south than you want to go.

heading out thursday morning. I kinda have a plan as far as the wineries go, but still undecided about port and charter to fish out of. Salmon season opened there today, and that will be the focus of the fishing next week. Can anybody reccommend a port or charter service?
