Still don't have a tag for my trailer. Other than that it wasn't bad. Buy from a private seller! Not a dealership or consignment! That'll save you a TON on taxes

look in the classifieds... Camp Canard is selling his old one for 9600. Looks like a good boat you might want to take it for a test run

$10K for that boat? Unless it is loaded down with all new electronics and every option imaginable there is no way its worth $10K

this is a bad time of year to be used boat shopping. Nobody wants to sell theirs while the weather is pretty and they can get out on the water. Just be patient and you will find the right deal...

haoward,

It's not that difficult. I bought in Florida and it was a snap. If you buy out of state from an individual there will be not taxes on it. If you buy from a dealer or broker there will be taxes. Texas does not have titles with their trailers and so you have to get the registration from the guy selling it. I went to the DMV and they told me if I had the registration they would make a title for me, but the guy could not come up with his registration so I scratched the Texas boat.

Be patient, something will come up.

Dink,

What year is your 19 footer? Why are you moving up, are you mostly fishing out of Grand Isle now? I would love to have a camp down there but it a good haul from Deridder.
