The Roux (Cooking/BBQ/Recipes) What good is a cajun site without a cooking and recipe forum?

Default That was a lot of pork

Hey guys. Did a fund raiser for our FD this weekend. Didn't get a pic of the finished product because we were super busy. Cooked 528lbs of boston butts to make pulled pork sandwiches. We turned out around 375 sandwich lunches today. Roast on at 6pm, wrapped them at 11 30 and watched them till 1 am. Back at the station at 5 30 am this morning to cook breakfast and start shredding. I have cooked for groups before but this was by far my largest under taking. I'm not real sure how or when I got elected as pit boss but oh well it was fun. Nothing like spending some time outside of the job with your brothers and sisters in bunker gear.
