Cheers New Sponsor Bud n Mary's Marina

Please join me in welcoming Bud N Mary's Marina located in Islamorada, on the Florida Keys.

Bud N Mary's is a full service Marina which is home to over 40 full time guides with accommodations available. Capt. Rick Stanczyk setup the Marina's sponsorship and his family owns and operates the Marina. Please join me in welcoming Bud n Mary's to the Salty Cajun family. Please see below or a link to the website and other information.

http://www.budnmarys.com/

Capt. Rick Stanczyk is a born and raised native of the Florida Keys. His family owns and operates Bud n' Mary's Marina out of Islamorada, FL. Capt. Rick spends most of his time fishing a 20' Seacraft in the backcountry and gulf waters of the Florida Everglades and Gulf of Mexico. His brother, Capt. Nick Stanczyk, fishes a 34' Crusader on the ocean side called the "BNM." He fishes the reef and Atlantic ocean. One of Capt. Nicks specialties is daytime swordfishing, which the Stanczyk family helped pioneer in the US over 10 years ago. Bud n' Mary's has been around since 1944 and is home to over 40 licensed captains, many 2nd and 3rd generation fishermen, some of which pioneered the arts of flats and deep sea fishing in the area. Capt. Rick will be bringing reports from both the inshore and offshore sides in the area. If your interested in visiting and fishing in Islamorada, FL, get in touch with these guys. Their 'tarpon season' starts in March and gets real busy through July, though can be good all the way through October. The world class tarpon fishing brings the bulk of fishermen to the keys over the next six months, along with the plethora of other species that can be caught in their waters!

I'm thinkin' a SC expedition to The Keys might be a trip of a life time! I've been fishing in that area several times from the Marquesses' to Marathon. Fished the Florida bay area and the outside reefs on the Atlantic. Would love to make another trip down there! I can taste the grilled grouper w/ a conch salad on the side along with a cold one. A night or 2 in Key West doing the Duval crawl might be in order.

Need to go before mid June. Dem afternoon thunder storms are no fun in south Florida. More lightning than I ever seen!

I would love to go, my son's baseball season and my coaching obligations should end the first weekend in May and I am open after that.

I'm going to GI the second week of may but I'm down after that. Anytime before that I'm finishing cows on grass so I can't be gone very long

My cousin and a couple of his friends made a trip last year to Bud and Mary's marina and they had a blast. They did some day time sword fishing and caught a few swords. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361219402.300263.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1361219421.539724.jpg

Ok guys, better yet, we fly into Miami, stay a night in South Beach!/?*% (if you haven't witnessed the night life in SB you owe it to yourself!)...then head on down to Islamorada for a few days fishin'. I think there are still some direct flights from New Orleans to Miami at a reasonable price. ( Maybe ckinchen can fly us on his private jet!!!! We can chip in on fuel costs.) This could be a hell of a trip!

Just checked...NO to Miami for 345.00 non stop. 10:40am in Miami 1:30pm less than 2 hrs. Plenty of time to pick up rental, check -in at S Beach, check out the beach with a few cold ones....
