Default How do you clean your specs?

Takes me too damn long to pluck all of them so I usually end up skinning some. Don't lose too much meat but you don't have the skin on.

Curious to see what everyone else did

Wax em. I plucked a speck last Saturday and was reminded of how bad pluckin sucks.

X2 on the wax! Easiest way there is. Bluechip you can get the wax in bulk at a candle factory. There's one in Kaplan off 13.

There's a lady in Kaplan that does a really good job. I also hear there's another in rayne. The one in Kaplan charges $5

We built a chicken plucker at work. I plan on trying it out on geese a here shortly. It made short work of a chicken, but i think a goose will have too many feathers.

Pumpelly tire in sulphur. U can buy it by the case there. It's 6 blocks in a case

They used to give that stuff away at the old Cit-Con plant but since it's been shut down, LCT is where I buy it.

If I remember right I saw a sign on the door at Cajun Tackle that they carried wax.

I usually suck it up and pluck specks....I don't kill but about 10-20 every year, but it is enough to make my hands hurt sometimes. Especially the wing featherrrrssssssssss Aye yai.
