Default Concealed carry

What's the fastest way to get permit? I'm about to take the class. Seems like I remember someone saying they drove to baton rouge to reduce time?

I think the process has sped up after the surge from Newton subsided. I'd still recommend taking the trip. The ladies in the office are very helpful if there are any issues with your application. Plus bring the old lady to eat at PF Changs afterwards. She'll appreciate it.

That was me. I made the trip to BR. It was kind of a pain in the a** but worth the trip. I waited there for over an hour to be fingerprinted. But I got my permit in the mail in less than a week.

I had the same experience as BJ but my wait was less than an hour, maybe 30 minutes.

2nd Amendment is all you need to carry a gun

It's your American right ..

That concealed chores is just a money maker

I carry a gun 95% of the time and ain't a damn person can tell me other wise

I agree with you 100%. But I'd rather nobody see that I'm packing. Out on the boat or running errands I open carry. But dining out and such I would prefer to conceal legally.

Conceal carry! I prefer to not make myself the target. Although open carry may scare a few from carrying out their plan... Id rather no one know whos carrying

You see, I tend to think the opposite. If I am a criminal, I'd take out the person that I know has a gun first. You have no clue what other people may be concealing and that would make me think twice.

People are generally blind to someone carrying a gun.

I carry everyday, everywhere with very few exceptions. I have been carrying a compact gun more often lately, but I carried a full size gun with 5" barrel for years. People in the store didn't notice, hell I had cops come in the store and ask why I wasn't carrying a gun when I had it on...

I like to open carry. True there are two sides to the coin and it may make me a target but I'm betting not. Statistics show that bad guys like easy victims. If homeboy goes in the store to rob it I'm betting that when he sees my gun he'll wait until I leave before making his move. After I leave my gun has done it's job and what happens inside is not my problem. I carry my gun to save me not to save the world. Bring your own gun. Granted I realize there is no perfect plan. If there was a perfect plan you would never need a gun
