Default Rockefeller crabs

Went out to the west side of the rock Sunday for some cinco de mayo crabs. Got there around 7:15 and headed back in around 9 with plenty to eat. Ended up with 90 something. All full and most were what I'd call "select". Good trip for us.

Nice Haul and thats a big *** buster crab on top!

By defintion a select crab is male crab over 6 1/4" point to point with all legs intact and live. I see you have a at least one female on top but I like them too. We boiled some crawfish yesterday and I wish I could have got a few dozen crabs to go with it.

Very Nice! We thought about going but the cold snap changed our minds. Will be giving it a try this weekend, highs in the 80's.

I got this information from a guy that is a crabber.

Blue Crab Size

#1 crabs are 6 inches

#2 crabs are 5 inches

Jumbos are 7 inches or greater

Factory crabs are crabs that have just molted and are not full of meat -AKA Gumbo crab

Threw gulp on a jighead for about ten min, no hits so put up the rod and helped catch some crabs.
