The green dye is used to check water lines and tanks for leaks.

Would say they must have a leak somewhere. We use that time to time where we work a little will go a long ways.

I guess this means there is a leak at Phillips, or rather, the drains at Phillips are working!

Its funny that so many are quick to say negative things about the refineries and chemical plants in the area, but without those plants the Lake area would be significantly smaller with less things to do than it currently is.

That is green dye which has passed the DEQ approval to use for industrial applications. Completely environmental friendly except for the appearance. The industry uses the green dye for leak checking storage tanks and piping. Once the application is complete paperwork is filed with DEQ to discharge the dye. There are other colors of this type dye but the green seems to be the most poplular.

Well yeah, if they used Red then all the loonies in the world would think someone just killed a bunch of people and dumped the bodies there or something. Some people, I swear these fools. Reading that kind of stuff will kill brain cells faster than cigs and booze will.
