I know of a guy that killed two banded doves in sweetlake last year and they were sequential bands. They were banded in Cameron prairie.

Probably mates that were netted and banded together. Very cool though, the band info should tell if they're male and female.

Why would someone make up a story that can so easily be proven wrong if he isn't telling the truff? This story will be confirmed by several mags after they receive the same emails LCD got. Delta/DU will be all ovah this very soon, USF&W will confirm if any other sequential bands have been captured by the same hunter.

So there is a link or source that proves this pic true???

And your question why would someone ????

Because if you recall there was a trout that John S caught and I took the picture (9.3trout)
Went around the internet as a La,Tx,Fl state record that was caught from Baffin to Destin Fl

That's why I don't buy a email story !!! 99.9999999% or not true

I heard of this a few times with specks. They usually net a whole group together and a lot of them stay together for a while. Several years ago had some buddies kill 3 bands out of a flock of 5 geese. All the bands were just a few numbers apart. All banded same day same place.

Me and a buddy killed 2 specks that where 7 numbers apart. They where tagged in Canada less than a year before.

Yes this is not totally uncommon. I friend of mine up north runs a goose hunting outfit. They shot 5 canadas out of a flock and 3 of them had bands. Two were sequential and one was like 3 numbers off. Geese are more family oriented than ducks.
