Default Death at lacassine reserve

Does anyone know what happened? My buddy told me there were a bunch of cops at Gary's landing and a guy had died in the reserve this morning. Cops just said the guy had health problems. Prayers for his friends and family

It amazes me it doesn't happen more often on Sabine and Lac. I would only take guys that were somewhat in shape back then. They are way scary if your outta shape or a sport.

As sad as it is, there's no better way for an outdoorsman to go. My neighbor went the same way in Belle River. His wife rejoices that, since he had to go, he went there. It was, according to her, his favorite place in the world.

God bless him and his family.

There's only one place worse to die than lacassine reserve, and that place is PPG.

First thing I thought of was a heart attack in that marsh. It's bad.

I had an old foreman that I worked for that went that way.
Right after a duck hunt, he pulled the starter rope on the outboard and died instantly.
His 2 brothers were in the boat with him at the time.

He died doing something he truly loved to do. Made us really stop and think since he was the same age as my husband. Tough day today.
