2012 Trade Winds Marina and Lodge Fishing Rodeo July6/7 in Cocodrie

I hope I am allowed to post about tournaments, If I am not I apologize and feel free to delete.

Anyways, Trade Winds Marina and Lodge will be hosting it's second annual fishing rodeo on July 6th and 7th. The entry fee is $45 and there will be entertainment provided at the bar both Friday and Saturday night. 1st and 2nd place will pay out cash while 3rd place will be marina/tackle shop/restaurant credit. Categories of fish include:

PAYOUTS (EVERYTHING PAYS 1ST – 3RD EXCEPT CAJUN SLAM AND OTHER)
i.HEAVIEST 5 FISH SPECKLED TROUT STRINGER
ii.HEAVIEST 3 FISH RED FISH STRINGER (ONE OVER 27”)
iii.CAJUN SLAM – 1 REDFISH (UNDER 27”), 1 SPECKLED TROUT, 1 FLOUNDER
iv.HEAVIEST YELLOWFIN TUNA
v.HEAVIEST MANGROVE SNAPPER
vi.HEAVIEST RED SNAPPER
vii.OTHER: HEAVIEST NON CATEGORY FISH (ONLY PAYS 1ST)

No problem and thanks for the welcome. It was fun last year even though the weather was pretty bad both days. I am hoping for good weather because I want to head offshore that Friday on an overnighter. I love rolling back to a crowded dock with big fish

When I was in there on Sunday with my wife she was interested in putting a team together for the Diva's fishing tournament. Can you post that information also.

Call the marina and ask to speak to Sherm, he will be able to direct her where to go, (985) 594-5525


As for anyone wondering how to sign up for the TW rodeo, you have 3 options:

1. Fill out ticket and pay at marina if you will be there before the rodeo
2. Attend the captains meeting (not mandatory) and fill out info/pay
3. Mail a check to the marina along with your personal information (name, address, and phone) and the marina will fill out a ticket for you and provide receipt if necessary.

if you would rather fill out the ticket yourself I could also email you a PDF of it and you can print it.

aww hell we will have some offshore competition I see!!!!! We will be heading south in a 31 and coming back with a boat load of winners!

i was at this rodeo last year. had a blast!!!!!!!!! there will be a bunch of people and the bar down strais will be open sat evening and a dj that will play anything you want to listen to. hoepfully some big fish are brought in i cant wait to see the catch!!!!

Anyone else going offshore for the rodeo? My padnuhs have 2 alone heading or blue water so should be some good competition!
