where r u launching? If you are launching north then to the south entrance to Joe's cove in Hackberry -- usually loaded. go through the cut and then cast net the south side of the cut. There's a little ditch running back. if you pull up there they will be coming from the south bank along the shoreline. usually get 10-15 per cast.

thanks i didnt know that about joes cove... that really helps beings that i wont have to run further south to catch bait

Right side of the ship channel you will see some rocks then an opening and pass that one up and go to the next opening and there is joes cove it's pretty far down the channel

The cuts in the rocks at the Cameron Jettys usually hold finger mullet.
The South end of the Pogy plant does also, but not as many. |
