The deer lease. French camp, ms. 85mi NE of Jackson. Fierce rut, 3200 acres doe heard in check. Body wieght dramatic increase since last yr. They should be stArting to chase tail. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1356749486.594394.jpg

at my land in woodville, saw 2 decent bucks today (evening hunt, slept in bc of rain in morning hunt). Saw 9 does yesterday evening not one was being chased.

I have a friend coming up tomorrow with his son. Leaving the doe smacking to them. I almost shot one this evening, actually had it in cross hairs with safety off but didn't feel like fooling with it.

Im not a big duck hunter, but wood ducks and mallards are stupid thick on my land right now. I will go shoot them occasionally but wont waste a deer hunt on them. I'm in Fort Adams (Woodville, Ms) not that far from Tensas.

Saw a bunch of does yesterday and one small buck. Didn't see a thing this morning. Hoping they move this afternoon.
