Default East side trout

Looking at the picture and reading the article I thought it was going to be alot bigger fish but says it was only 5.5#. He sure gave alot of info on the spot. He is going to have potlickers all up and down that highway.

I did as well and thought the fish would have gone much bigger than that.

I think Josh submits reports on a frequent basis for New Orleans publications.

Looks bigger because he's holding it close to the camera. Solid fish for a drain ditch.

Yes. We all fished together in a few tournaments several years ago.

The caption under the pic was misleading

"Josh Hall caught this monster speckled trout Saturday evening while fishing off of Highway 1 in lower Lafourche Parish"

Its a nice fish, i'm not trying to hate. But a monster? I dont know about that, assuming that weight is correct.

Seven lbs is a monster for the area. And, well, we're talking about it, right?

All about the page views these days.

No, we are talking about a 5.55lbs fish that took 10 minutes to reel in.

And you right about page views, everybody and their brother are going to be lined up on Hwy 1 fishing the drain pipes now.

Shoot, my bad. The nola dot com writer has lots of space to fill. A five # caught off the bank in SE La in a place that's not Venice or Ponchartrain is a pretty big deal, especially when someone is willing to give up such info.

Meh. As far as telling his spot, it's pretty common knowledge around there that you can get those trout during those times of flow. Nice fish though.

I know most of y'all over there are "Nice fish, but *** is the big deal?" but the lady who caught it is easy on the eyes.
