Not trying to start crap, but a rod you buy off the shelf is not a custom rod. A custom rod is one built to the customer specifications.

Custom: made or done to order for a particular customer.

Did you have it built to your specs? Or was it a rod that you liked that was already made and he put your name on it??

Self explanatory.

Not saying they aren't good rods. There are lots of great rods out there. But a true custom rod isn't built until it is ordered by the customer.

I use the Waterloo HP Slam Mag II rods with Recoil titanium guides, it's the Cadillac of the Waterloo line up.

The rod was built to my specs. Length, guides, grip, seat etc.
