Headed out Saturday morning to the point with my son Gage, launched at the point and headed to the island for some live bait. Went to belly dam found a small area where we could fit in between all the crabbers.... Lol caught a few shrimp and mullet. Headed east fished several spots to no avail. Gage says dad lets go try that spot in the pass where we always catch reds, I said ok so off we went. Arrived at our honey hole and started soaking live shrimp and mullet on bottom, after 20 mins only one red in boat. Was about to give up and made one more cast on the opposite side of where we were fishing. It was on, we caught our limit pretty quick and played catch and release for a while before calling it a day. Good Pre Fathers Day trip with my youngest.
