18#'s of pot found in grand isle
More than 18 pounds of what police suspect is marijuana was found washed up on a Grand Isle beach Tuesday, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office and Grand Isle Police recovered the recovered the drugs, and the two agencies are in the process of trying to determine their source. To aid in the ongoing investigation, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office Water Patrol Section has increased shoreline patrols with the assistance of Port Fourchon Harbor Police.
