Default Bad with the good Dulac 6/9

Woke up to t-boomer over the fishing grounds, which set the table for the morning. Left dock at about 7 and first hole was dirty and wind was way up. Made a drift casting a purple chartreuse Bayou Chub and stuck an 11 incher. Decided to go long and 20 minutes later was in the protected, but still murky water.

After about 5 minutes the wind began to lay and soon enough it was down to only the swells coming off of Lake Pelto. Grinded out with a Mirrodine for four 14-16s and a 16 on topwater when the cloud cover allowed. Was about to make another drift when the cold air rushed in and rippled the smooth water in the opposite direction. No lightning, but I was overexposed in a 17 foot aluminum, so I hightailed it.

Started looking at fringe areas for drum and redfish when I noticed it was rapidly slicking off again. The best spot from yesterday was just a short hop, so took a chance, which came up craps (dirty water). Move over to an island I'd always wanted to fish, saw some good things, but dirty water and 11:00 made for no strikes. Oh well
