Yeh most ppl don't take marlin out the water around here. If u get your hands on the bill that is considered "landing" it and u release it on the side of the boat. Maybe next time! Lol

I would probably try to get a pic w/ the fish also for my first one. Hopefully i can land one on my first attempt... or at least a hook up. I'll definitely have video rolling.

here is one my good friend won the oarnge beach tourney with last summer i think it went 837#

that is a monster. after the one i caught, i landed about a 80lb yellowfin that night and couldnt even fight another fish. i had to just sit back and watch as my buddies were landing monster yellowfins. i would hate to see what one like that would do to me! my uncle caught one about that big when i was a kid. i was looking at pics the other day!
