I hate to say it, but my next one may be a Ford!

LCD if you didn't change out your upper control arms get ready to do that too. $150 in parts from Rockauto.com and about and hour and a half to fix.

Well Hell. If that many of us are having issues with our Chevy's, we should set up a saltycajun group buy. We might get a nice discount. I'm sure Bolton Ford would gladly accommodate us!!

Went on my lunch break and picked up the part for $15 at billy Navarre. Changed it out in the work parking lot. All I gotta do is make sure I have break lights before I leave today.

Glad I didnt take it to the shop. That would have been a $300 bill I'm sure.

Yep, brake light switch. Just changed mine two weeks ago. Any auto parts store has it. Auto zone, orileys, etc. $16 bucks.

Reason I ask is my friend had a Texas Edition crew cab, I believe it was 09 but not positive. He had to have the engine rebuilt in it twice. After the second time he immediately traded it in for a Ford soon as he got it out the shop. I just told it it was having problems because it said Texas on it lol.
lol nah mine isn't a Texas edition

Sounds like a plan to me. I went pick up a Ram 1500 today and am driving it around today & tomorrow to see how I like it. I'll either be buying a Ram or a Ford in the near future. It's just hard to swallow forking out all that extra money for a Ford.

All those GM issues seem pretty minor. Rather that than the rear end and tranmission that went out in the 07 Ford I had.

Oh I know. Never did figure it out. Took a screwdriver to it and it flew off 100mph. It's still lost somewhere up under the dash. I heard it bounce around but never did find it. Had to rig something to make sure the the switch didn't slide off the post.

I barely drove the damn thing. Bought it with 96K on it and it took me to the cleaners in 6 months. Almost $6k later I sold the damn thing and bought a new GMC.

I've only been having the truck for 2 years and it's been in the shop twice. First time for the power locks & cruise control working when it felt like it along with a ticking noise I could hear but the mechanics couldn't. Second time is this time for the ticking noise again which the mechanic said is the cam.

Bad lock got changed out during an oil change. Cruise control I fixed myself in 10 minutes today. Only problems I have ever had. Truck runs great.

My gmc ran great. I just felt like one of those cartoons where they're driving and their vehicle falls to pieces one piece at a time and then they're sitting on the road in their seat and holding a steering wheel. That's what I felt like. But then my transmission started making bad noises and wouldn't go into gear every now and then. Had to off load it.

I'm in a white Ram 1500 4x4 right now that Courtesy let me take home for the night, I really like it. That HEMI got tons of power and gets great gas mileage for a 5.7
