Salty, come down the day after a the first couple cold fronts in the fall.
You can hook up with all the flounder you need. Some big, some small.
But lots of them. They stack up in the Old River area.

Too many people there But I,ll give it up : 75 Feet from the entrance to lambert weir's.Anchor parrallel about 20' off the North bank . 3/8 or 1'2 lead head and gulp Slowwwwww. Todays catch was unbelievable haven 't received pic yet post will have to wait. Know for the bad news; LWFD will be CLOSING Grand Bayou Boat Bay at Sun Set Friday The 13th and not reopen until till the day after First Split end's.It will close again the day before the Second season starts. It will reopen the day after the last day of Duck season. West zone duck hunting season is what I'm refering to. This came about through conversation with LDFW water control management personal on site today. This is all I know about it.

I already hit 2 big flounder catches. I have a freezer FULL of 'em.
But I don't mind catching a few more.
After all the Flounder we caught in the past month, I figured they was all
out of the marshes.

I've always heard about the population of flounder in the Lake Pontchartrain estuary but I think Big Lake might have it beat. Geez, seems to be loaded with flatties over there.
