Default BL was choppy today 6-28-13

I knew it was going to be windy but I promised my 5 year old boy I would take him out. We ended up behind the weirs and never really found a good bite. We decided to anchor at the cement gate and crab and shrimp. Im glad we hung up the poles because my boy had a great time catching crabs. We ended up with about 15 lbs of medium shrimp and 6 dozen large crabs. Also the crabs were running so good we were able to be really picky and throw the smaller ones back.

sounds like yall had a pretty good time then! We went yesterday for specs... we got skunked. First skunk I've had in probably 6-7 years, it didn't feel good lol The only exciting thing that happen was a triple tail ate my cork at Tiger Shoals.

Internet Police.......

When you are crabbing behind the Grand Bayou wier [your title says BL] This is the Cameron Prairie NR....East Cove unit.

The limit there is 5 dozen crabs.

Of course I meant 5 ....... my little boy is still sleeping I wore him out. We had a blast and have some friends in town and prob. Heading over to do some more crabbing in the morning. Thinking of going somewhere close maybe south of hackberry... blue crab or hog island gully, I dont care about the size tomorrow because of the big ones today. Anyone have any other suggestions for location. I know its sat. So I should be there before sunrise to get a spot..
