Thanks for all the input fellas. I'll probably go with the DR85 for now. Is the only place to get a Chien Caille in Gueydan? I would love to pick one up just for the heritage behind them.

Original wench...I been using the same one for 12 years....never had a problem with it hanging up...and for the price u can't beat it...easy to use and some come with the how to use video

which hobo do you guys have. yes they are nice i think I've only tried the double reed one if i can recall..

I like the wench too.......alot.........
do yourself a favor and get to the blind way before sun up......lay back and listen to the birds.....you will be surprised at just how little sounds they actually make on the water.....all that hail call stuff is ........well........crap IMO......... I have 100$ calls that I never use........I like the easy soft blowing calls........ A little is a LOT down here |

Old Advice
My grandfather taught me how to call, but before he did he taught me when to call. He always said the first step is the most important. He would feed ducks after the season and make us sit in the blinds to learn the "duck talk".
