Default Sunday in the south

Sitting here at work listening to some shenendoah, and sunday in the south came on which is one of my favorite songs. It made me think that no matter what we're doing weather it maybe working, fishing or spending the afternoon around a barbque pit with freinds and family there's nothing better than a sunday in the south. So take the time to cherish this day.

Thanks, DGG

I was just thinking exactly the opposite. I'm bored as all hell when im not fishing or hunting. With the wind being like it has been im thinking about either getting out of here until hunting season or picking up hang gliding

I was married when I moved up north so that wasn't a factor for me. I still have several clients in NYC and other places that I visit. For me, there is nothing like the south.

Southern women as a group are much more attracive. Not to say the professional type in NYC cannot turn a few heads.

There is no place like home.

I guess i'm just a restless spirit. 26 yrs old, No wife, No Girlfriend, No kids and really cant see myself with any of those anytime soon. I enjoy moving around and meeting new people and learning new places. Since i graduated High School I have lived in California, New York, Utah, Texas, Idaho and Washington. I stayed in NYC the longest and definitely had the most fun up there but you are right, something always draws me back to Louisiana.

This will help you in the long run, getting to know other cultures and the unique experiences that come with this experience will give you a multitude of things to draw back on as you get older. I commend you for it, and your right now while you do not have a family is the time to move around and see the country.

Most beautiful women are from the South, but if i could duck hunt somewhere within in thirty minutes of NYC AND AFFORD it i probably would never have left. My share of the rent in my apartment was $1600 a month not including utilities.

What are apartments going for in the Bronx or Queens these days? Not that you would want to live there. Uptown is out of control.

My mom had a 2 bedroom 1 Bath apartment in Kew Gardens, Queens that was around $1800 a month. It was probably twice the square footage of my apartment in the Meat packing district. She liked it because it was close to Laguardia.

I was reading an article earlier that Manhattan rents are at an all time high surpassing the record which was set in 2002 before the economy crashed.

I have heard the same about Manhattan. One of my employees just completed an internship with PWC in New York and he had to live over an hour away from work just to aford an apartment with a roommate. It probably takes seven figures in NYC to live like you would at just over six in LA or Texas.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread guys, I will give myself an infraction.
