Default Good deed today

A guy was walking down the road holding his little 5 or 6 yr old daughters hand today right in front office. I got out and said hello, he asked how far it was to the nearest gas station. Its a good 5 miles to the station, and I was in work truck so told him I couldn't take him to the gas station. He said no problem so I looked around and we had a 5 gal can of gas so i hollered and gave it to him and told him just to leave the can at the gate.

Well, just went out there and I will be dang if he didn't put all 5 gallons in his car! What the hell?

Did you at any time specify the amount of gas he could take from the can? From the description you wrote it sounds to me like you gave him all the gas and said leave the empty can when you come back

Someone gives me a gas can and says leave it by the gate when I'm done..... Ima get every ounce outta that can! And appreciate their kindness!! Then pay it forward to someone else
Now if you had said; use _________ amount ; the story would b different.

I did not specify, but its kind of a gentelemens agreement i guess. I was not mad, just surprised! Lord knows I have run out of gas in a boat before and had someone help me out, so maybe this is karma

Default karma

i am curious why do people think it necessary to post they done something good, this isn't the first time someone has a post that says something about a good deed, that comes off as you only do it for recognition, "hey you guys i did something good today for some one, can i get a pat on the back" karma doesn't miss anything and karma never sleeps, you do good things and good things will happen, no need to gloat, gloating about it cancels out the good karma you supposed to have coming back to you

ps you said leave the can by the gate, you didn't say take what you need and leave the rest by the gate, leave the can by the gate sounds to me like an empty can

ps s i am not looking to start an argument don't take this the wrong way, i am just putting what i think that is all have a good day, hopefully we can catch some fish this weekend, i haven't been in a while but i will try to go sunday

man with his five year old daughter could have all the gas and I would have taken him in the company truck any way.

Screw the rules sometimes.......
But glad you helped the guy out......first class in my book

It wasn't that I did a good deed, it was more of a surprised outcome from doing a good deed, sorta more of a funny story more than a good deed I guess
Sorry for partying

You did a good deed...probably took what he needed and felt it wasn't neccessary to drain the can..the problem with most of the folks that take what is not needed just because they can ie welfare.
