Default TFO Rods

Gotta give props when its due.
In the spring I was running the surface drive pond hopping teaching a friend how to fly fish. Jumping one of the banks going to another pond he left the tip sticking out the boat and it caught a branch and went in the air at about 30mph and broke 2 sections into 4 and cracked another section. $300.00 rod destroyed. Rod was a yr old and I knew it was my mistake. TFO has a no hassle warranty for 25 bucks so I sent it back in my case with a check for 25 and thought I would just get a repaired rod. 4 days later I get a new case with my original with a brand new rod. They have a customer for life with that service. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if they are looking at fly rods that TFO is excellent to deal with.

They do have great customer service. My two piece LK series got 2 " of the tip broke off by a truck door before i ever made the first cast.
called the guy i purchased it from about where to send it and he just told me to bring it back and he'd replace it an no cost to me. But since i had just arrived in G.I. for a 4 day trip i did a field repair and used the rod as it was . Loved it even more w/ that 2 " missing so still have it .
He called me about 2 weeks later and asked about the rod . Told him i ws keeping it .
