It's odd how different things are in the midwest for ducks and geese. I was working in Wyoming a few years ago and we had no problems asking landowners for permission to duck and goose hunt... no one tried to charge us and everyone we asked said yes.
They were not as friendly when asked about antelope and deer hunting... haha.
If you ask local farmers to turkey hunt they normally tell you yes but only if you shoot them all and not just the ones you are going to tag and bring home.
