I was a Lowrance man for years, but with them coming out with their HDs unit, the user friendly units of the past have been lost. When I rigged my boat last year, I mounted a Garmin unit flush in the console hand got the mapping card for it. Very happy so far!

I have a Garmin and a Hummingbird.
Garmin kicks Hummingbirds azz.
Raymarine is not user friendly either.
Garmin or Furuno is the way to go with GPS.
I think Garmin is about as user friendly as you can get.
