Default Bayou Benoit

Was going to go out of SW pass today, but the tides sorta sucked so decided to go freshwater instead. Got to Bayou Benoit at daylight and the bite was on. Left 'em biting after 81 very nice "perch", i.e. chincapin, goggleeye and plain old bream. Mixed, but some very nice ones in the mix. Was going to try Beau Bayou, but figured with the water at 3.5 ft. at "da butte", decided against it.

Good thing you did not go to beau bayou, my son told me last night that he went ride and there is a big fish kill. (Trash Fish) Not much oxygen in water I guess, also he only got in there with his pro-drive.

Default Bayou Beniot

I am also offshore right now, but my son did catch 47 bass yesterday in bayou beniot, alot of short fish but he managed to keep 10 with 2 fish over 4 pounds. He was throwing a brush hog and red shad worm early and then changing up to a white willow leaf spinnerbait later on. The 2 big fish and most of the keepers came from the left side of the landing fishing the right side.
