We caught a bunch of sacs a few weeks back putting in at Butte LaRose and were catching bream as well. I would bet the bream are bedded up big time in there as long as the water isn't too muddy. Would think you could put in anywhere on the Atchafalaya (Henderson, Lake Pelba) and find some bank with button willows and catch some fish. Lake Martin is another option, they should be on the banks there. I like to get those tent caterpillars that are everywhere right now and fill up a cricket can with them. The kids can throw them in the water and the bream will come up and hit em if they are around. Then put one on a hook with little or no weight to let it sink real slow and if any are around they will smoke em. If you run out of em you can find a patch of tupelo gums and find some more on the bases of them.

Just playing around today with my son and we did pretty good, considering tackle and rigs we had available. We launched out of Pierre Part. Find clean water and some grass.

Well made it over to Bayou Benoit today fished around a good bit with some crickets and scratched my last few trips out the boat have been a zero. I normally fish henderson area and lake pelba/bigeaux or hit the interstate beating the banks and catch 50-80 every time. My next stop is going to be stephensville but with easter weekend bet there was lot of boats out there.

My sister, bro in law and nephew went yesterday and did well outa Berwick on Bass. He told me they caught alot of Bream too but gave them all away. Looks like the water is warming up and the fish are turning on. I told him his freezer is getting full he needs to start thorowing some back now. He and my sister are buying a Pathfinder now so I will get him into Reds and Specs this summer.
