Default V. Bay

Just wanted to put up here that i saw a frikin tarpon in v. bay friday afternoon. Would of never really believed something like this until then. For some reason it was jumping through the air as if it would of been hooked or something. Maybe we spooked it as we were coming into shallower waters with the outboard.

But anyways.. fish are biting great! Cleaned a WHOLE lot of specs the past week and weekend.

not joking at all. Day before there was word out that someone had caught one. I've read that ppl have seen them in there before jumping but i always thought to myself that there was probably an Asian Carp jumping and they mistaken it for a tarpon, but truly and honestly I saw a tarpon. It was probably about 3.5ft long and i guess about 30-40lbs probably closer to 30 i guess i don't know about the weight.

Im 95% sure I saw one about 3 foot long in weeks bay. I was idling past a boat that was fishing and it jumped out the water maybe 10 yards from the boat. I also thought it may have been a carp, but it was silver with a forked tail. My grandpaw told me storys how v bay used to produce tarpon on a regular basis. Looks like they are making a comeback.
