don't run one, but saw one a few weekends ago. Talk about a good looking boat. I've heard many good things about the smaller ones.

Definitely going to be a boat to consider when I'm ready to upgrade

I've not run one but have been inside one. Boat is friggin huge!! Would be a great dual purpose bay and light offshore boat. Sea Hunt has an exceptional reputation and by all accounts is very responsive to owner issues or complaints. I'd love to have the 24 but might consider that BX 22 as well.

Duel purpose is why I’m looking at the 24
I figured it would be a turd as far as speed .
One of the big reasons I'm looking at the is b/c i have two young girls and really want something with high sides but still want to be able to mount a trolling motor on it.

Anyone know of a good dealer in La. I refuse to go to Bent over marine.

Also I have looked for the MSRP on the boat and can’t find it.
Legendary marine in gulf shores wants 59,000 for it rigged out with a 300 Yamaha, Minn Kota 101 trolling motor, lowrance HDS7, VHF, power pole, 4 speaker am fm radio with amp.
Does this sound about right?

Look more....
I seen a few n fla with 250 yammy & trailer for 40-45 depending on options.
Putting a 300 on there ain't gonna b worth it.
Stay with a 250, spend the difference on electronics & accessories

Also..... Make sure if u buy a fla boat the price includes the trailer..... Lotta dealers don't include that price.... Or batteries, prop & pre wired trolling motor.

I disagree ..... Get the 300 so u don't have to bury it to the nuts to get anywhere ... Run it at 4200 rpm good gas mileage. I have a 24' triton w a 250 only regret is not gettin a 300 v6 yammy

Sea hunt will tell u it's a total waste, when I was looking it them in feb I spoke with the guy who designed the boat. He said a 300 will only add 1-2 mph .... Bc the increased weight.
Lots of boats can run a 300.... But it's not worth it.
Ranger is the same.

Guy said, they made the max HP 300 bc of louisiana people complaining about it...... He said there was a boat called a "hynie" lol that was built in Texas & offered blazing speed and " stayed on top"
So they wanted to offer more speed to the seahunt bx24 & make louisiana customers happy.....

That's what "my guy" told me.......

A 2011 yamaha 250 and 300 is the exact same weight, should gain a min of 5 mph between the two. Always best to use the max HP on any boat. Quicker holeshot, better cruise speed and mpg, ect. I rode in a sea hunt 22 and it rode very good in a chop,24 will do that much better.

Not sure price difference I thought it was more like 2000-3000 $ more but I could be wrong. Either way I would spend it so I didn't have to run wot all the time less stress on motor

The Jump to the 300 is big.

Don't know performance on the triton with a 300

But the seahunt bx24 with a 300 will run 57 mph & burn 25.7 gph

4500 rpm 42 mph 15 gph
