Yea, an aluminum boat with a true bart boat hull with not scare off fish..... I have not seen any fish swim away when I fish with my bro in law.
We catch bass, trout , reds n the shallows & have run out into Breton sound.
No issues with not catching fish in the wind

Original poster asked if Express boats were good or bad... Most people answered wet, rough, welds crack, good, bad, ugly, ect... These are things I would want to know if in the market...

Somehow, you took this as an opportunity to slam, drag, bash and humiliate any and all aluminum boat owners on the site in normal "W" fashion...

No matter what the topic; rods, nets, reels, bildge pumps, light bulbs or hemorrhoid cream, you go on the same offensive and attempt to bash everyone else's stuff...

This is not a compare fiberglass to aluminum thread, stay on topic or infractions will be handed out. W unless you have owned or ridden in an xpress there is no need to post on this thread.

Now back to the topic. I owned an hd 20 a few years ago, great boat in rivers and the marsh, it killed me with any chop. Pros are it will last a lifetime, run shallow and us cost effective. Cons to me are that it is loud with any chop and not a great boat in open water with 10 knots or more facing you. Good luck with your decision.

I had the hd also and was not good for a chop that is why i got rid of it and got the one with the hyperlift hull....big difference between the two. Kind of like comparing a fiberglass with a v hull to a flat bottom hull like a carolina skiff....

That just about sums it up. I had a xpress CC, it was all of the above. Originally bought it because of overall cost and fished alot of shallow marshes where open water and wind were not a very big factor. However if you are ever caught out in open water and the wind and chop pick up, it is a very rough and wet ride..I alos got mine from H & M Marine in Crowley. They had good prices and I never had any trouble when I brought it in for maintnenace.

So in the end it is probably what is most important you, they are a good product for an aluminum boat, but jst like any other boat aluminum or glass, they will all have their own benefits and their own downfalls...

NO, not since I had xpress add rib/seam. I have used it 10-15 since. For example, my uncle has a X70 which is the X19 now (same hull design as my x22) for 12 years and never had an issue. I just have bad luck.....

Are you still looking at getting a boat..

Ok good, that was helpful thanks. You managed to not bring up your supreme boat or that he was making what you think is a bad decison. I am proud of you, maybe there is hope.

Stop being a horses ____ to people in the open area. Save your over the top egocentric tendencies for the gill net.

Some people come to the site to learn and benefit from all of the knowledge our members have. You also have a great deal of knowledge to share if you can let your ego shut down for 5 minutes and not worry about being the center of attention in every thread. Not everyone comes here to be entertained by the great "W".

Ok let's move on.

Yeah, I'm a new member and love the site. But man it didn't take long to notice certain people's habits.

Also, the express HD is a great boat but it does beat you up a bit in rough waters. I only been in a bay series express once but could tell the ride was much better.
