Went yesterday. Got spooled on the first cast by somethin that was PO'd and nothing else. No birds working water was chocolate. Guys that came in right after me at Maxie's had 55 trout they supposedly caught at Tette Butte on live shrimp but I'd rather play bumper boats in the cove than start rounding up the crickets.

Not many boats on Caldwell today, caught some reds along the banks in the pass though. Market shrimp under a cork.

Jez, North end was about the same. 2 reds and some sand trout. I wonder if the afternoon bite is better.

i don't think the shrimp are pouring out of the marsh like they were a few weeks ago. They are defiantly not in the pass like they were. All the shrimpers usually pushing in the pass were all stacked up just north of the first marker. Dry reef and some of thoes hard bottom bayous on MI are probably holding a few. That would be my guess.

We caught a bunch of white trout in the pass. Water wasn't that pretty but the fish where there. Under a cork with avocado color . Had a few specks mixed in as well

When you fish the bank on the pass for reds, do you fish those sandy reefs or just along the reeds and stuff?

I fish along the reefs, but be very careful. It is very easy to ruin your day and hull getting your boat hung up on one of those reefs.

Are y'all talking about the bank across from all those birds and little islands? I never really fished there. I usually get my reds on east side of marsh island.
