Default Unproductive day in Weeks Bay yesterday...

Water was dirty, even up in the marsh. Chunked a variety of plastics for the better part of 4 hours without a single red to show for it. Saw lots of jumping mullet and garfish which never seems to be a good sign! For those who need to run their boat or have time to waste fishing in the Weeks Bay/Vermilion Bay area, consider the landing at the Port of Iberia. Only a mile or so down Lewis Street from 90 which is much shorter than having to go way around West St. Mary to get to the Point right now. Has a nice wide landing but not much parking. Wouldn't advise it if your towing vehicle is undersized though....it's pretty steep and the rocks scattered about on the cement landing from the parking area causes you to slide down a bit when applying the brakes as you ease your boat down which can be a bit disconcerting! It's about an 8 mile run to Weeks Bay through the Iberia Drainage Canal which is a very straight run. Good time to put the hammer down and speed test your boat.

Is there any word on when they're going to be finished with the bridge?

And if you want to get your black 2500 hd covered in over spray,it is the best place to put down. But it is a short run to the trash pile, shark bayou area.
