Default need help with car audio

I'm about to hook up an amp and sub in my 2008 silverado crew. I want to keep my factory deck so the steering wheel controls still work. What is the best way to get rca outputs and remote power? Would this be best done with a LOC? And if so which is the better brand? Thanks for any help.

get an adapter that hooks to your rear speakers. it has 2 wires on one side and rca jacks in the other. not familiar with a loc your remote just get a test light and find which one of your fuse only is hot when your key is on or hook it up on toggle switch so you can turn it on or off.

certain brand radios have adaptors that are compatible with your steering wheel controls...I have an eclipse radio and it works with the contols of my tacoma....talk to your local car audio shop or call Music Vision in New Iberia and they will hook you up right

The LOC I'm talking about is a low output converter like what bay slayer mentioned but it also takes signal when the speakers are powered and turns on the remote wire thus my amp will only come on when the radio is playing, eliminating any noise while the radio is off. Thanks for the help. I have hooked up a lot of full aftermarket systems but this is the first time I hook anything up to a factory deck. I'll let ya'll knw how it goes.

I got it hooked up, with an adapter that plugs into the factory harness and radio supplies remote wire and pre amp outputs with no splicing. Ten minutes and was done with the wiring. Thanks for the suggestions.
