Default Bad start to a preset day

Sever case of redA$$, got up 3:00am to head to big lake, loaded boat and headed down driveway, to find a car in my front pasture, some dumba$$ hit my culver jumped my 60 foot wide driveway hitting the corner post and following the fence line for about 150 feet, (hit and run) abandon car. Well not too bad right....wrong! My daughter raises /shows myotonic goats and Alpacs. So instead of fishing I'm about to put up a temp fence . All in all I will end up replacing about 650 ft of fence, out of pocket because he has no insurance, even better I can't press charges for criminal damage because there was no intent, basically he pays to get his car out 200.00 and walks away. What's wrong with this???

I know you can't squeeze blood from a turnip, but you could consider a civil lawsuit instead of criminal actions if possible...

Civil court is your next option. Does not have to be criminal intent to sue him for damages. Even if he does not have auto insurance you can put a lien on everything the MOFO owns until you get paid.

Yes it should. Then, your ins co will go after him.

All that still won't get you on the water today though!
