Default Tropical Reds

With tropical weather in the forecast and a window of opportunity, my crew of Desert Storm veterans from the United States Marine Corp were fired up to make something happen before the downpour. We arrived in the deep bayou armed with 75 crabs and a lot of smack talkin'. We set the iPilot and never moved. The bites were few and far between with catfish and croakers sucking the meat from our crabs before the reds could get it. Ray Cromer busted the first four fish as the others watched in awe as with each hook set their hooks came up empty. You HAVE TO LET THEM TAKE IT! These reds are consistently making veteran anglers look like a fool! lol. Ray was a rookie and listened to my advice and waited patiently until the red had the whole crab in its mouth before setting the hook. The other guys quickly caught on and we loaded the box! Same guys again tomorrow and hopefully we have as much fun without the rain. Got caught in the lake today in 30 mph winds and a water spout actually hit the boat. We made it back to the dock safely in one piece!
