Default VB today

Went early and tried the Cove for a few minutes, then started across the Bay. Water was almost slick. Tried T-Butte first with topwater, tightline and Vudu under a cork. Buddy caught a nice 19" trout tightline and then I got one on that broke off just before the boat, but it would have been a nice one also. Got several other bites, but no takers then went to Pavy, nada, then Hammock, then Mud Point where friends trolling motor stopped trolling so we we quit. LDWF guy at landing said everyone was doing poorly, one-twosey except one boat who came in with 30 he supposedly caught at the Hammock. Water really nice everywhere and from reports, we shoulda been there yesterday. Go figure.

It wasn't 30, it was 35. Ha ha. Sounds like I got lucky based on what the guy at the Landing said.

I have a 23' Cape Bay. It's the only one out there. Caught a few reallllllly early and then nothing. I don't know for sure cause I gave them to the guy I had with me. No more than 6 or 7. But the were big. All 18 to 22"
