hey, how do you like that quantum reel? I just bought a kvd quantum reel and it cast reel good, but I haven't fished with it yet, I hope they last longer than most of the reels I've been buying.

Quantum reels
Quantums work qreat in freshwater, very smooth and good backlash control. However I used one in saltwater a couple of times and it started showing corrosion and I did clean it after each use. Academy had them for 1/2 price before the summer so I picked up a couple, don't think I would pay the MSRP for it.

~10 years ago, I fished with Quantum reals I got from Walmart for $ 40.
For the first 6+ months, they worked good fishing a couple of times a month. Then by the end of the first year in salt water use they needed to be replaced. |
