Default Boat Porn For You Guys...

I took a little ride down to Sarasota, Florida today to check out the Yellowfin factory. I've been in the market for a new boat for the past 2 years. I've done all of my research and I've been drooling over the Yellowfins. The 24 Bay was a bit out of my price range so Kevin at Yellowfin invited me down to demo the new 21 Hybrid. It is a scaled down version of the 24 Bay hull and words cannot describe how awesome this boat is! The price is a little friendlier than the 24 Bay as well. I loved the demo boat (had a Yamaha 250 SHO on the back) and Kevin is a stand-up guy. Yellowfin puts out an unequalled product and their customer service is equally great. As awesome as the 21 Hybrid is, I pulled the trigger on a BlackJack instead. I'm ordering it from Lake Area Marine. The price is right and the application suits my needs a little better than the 21 Hybrid, not to mention there was a 6 month wait for the 21 Hybrid to be built (selling my boat and can't wait that long). The BlackJack is more of a "Bay" boat, which I am after, rather than a "Flats/Hybrid" style boat. I can't say enough about Lake Area Marine either. They cut me a great deal and Kyle has been on the phone with me all day about custom ordering my new BlackJack to get it exactly the way I want. I can't wait to get it in a couple of months! I took some pics while I was at the Yellowfin factory today and figured I'd share them with you guys.

Those yellowfins are extremely nice but I think you made the right decesion by going with a BlackJack, you just can't beat them. I wish they had a 24' model cuz that is what I would be in right now!
Great buy, looking forward to seeing pics upon its arrival!!

Yea Cody we actually found a buyer for my boat about an hour after I placed my BlackJack order. It worked out perfectly to buy a new one and sell the old one all in the same afternoon. Gonna miss that old Champ! And have fun at your wedding man!

I will post pics of the finished product but here are the specs so far:

2013 BlackJack 224
2013 Yamaha VMax 250 SHO
Minn Kota 101 Riptide
Hydraulic Jack Plate
Trim Tabs
Boarding Ladder
Raw Water Washdown
Humminbird 900 series Side Imaging Combo (not 100% sure yet)
Fusion Stereo (after market)
Magic Tilt Aluminum Trailer with Mag Wheels

The boat will have a black hull and black sides. The interior fiberglass decking and console will be cream colored with two tone cream and tan upholstery

That's awesome man. That champ was the cleanest boat I have ever seen. I didn't think you would have a problem selling. Hope you get to slime the deck soon bud

Default Nice pictures of the factory, thanks!

BaseballFisherman: you're gonna love the Blackjack, rode in a really nice one last year in Venice, fantastic ride, fit and finish is awesome, and it's very nicely laid out for fishing.

I went a different route and went with the Yellowfin 24, thanks to my good buddies' sound advice...this is my first bay boat and hopefully, my last one. I'm very new to the whole saltwater experience, but man it is a total blast! I thought you might like to see some pictures of my new Yellowfin...got it last month, only 8 hours on the motor so far. Just need to fish more!
Here are the specs:
24' Yellowfin bay (Fighting Lady yellow hull)
2012 Yamaha 300 V6 Offshore
Minn Kota 101 Riptide/I-Pilot
Hydraulic Jack Plate
8' Power Pole
Boarding Ladder
Raw & Fresh Water Washdown
Humminbird 1100 series Side Imaging Combo w/weather
Fusion Stereo
Icom radio
AmeriTrail Trailer

Rocky - That boat is gorgeous, definitely a dream boat! Thanks for sharing! If I had a little extra spare change I would have went YF 24 all the way. It's the best bay boat on the water in my opinion. I have a friend that i fish with quite a bit that owns a YF 24 and it will spoil you! I think the BlackJack fits my personal needs for now and will make a great guide boat for me as well (I only guide for a few months out of the year). Once I grow a bigger money tree I will upgrade to the YF 24!

Shaw - Thanks! I will post pics when I pick it up. I considered the Haynie 24 HO for the longest time but figured since I will use it for myself more than I will guide out of it, I preferred something with a little nicer fit and finish. I love that 24 HO and it really is the perfect guide boat.

No man not yet, still being built. Last I heard was Aug 13th, I am fishing the Haynie for our tournament in a couple of weeks.

Damn well that's not worth a crap, what all did you get that it's taking so long?
Just curious what motor you went with on it?

YF 21 is a nice boat no doubt! But I think you made the right call. The blackjack is hard to beat and you'll save some money on it vs the YF. Congrats on new boat. Sounds pretty already!
